Non-Discrimination Policy
Purpose
This policy outlines Halal Food Safety UK’s (HFS) commitment to preventing discrimination in all its activities, ensuring fair treatment for all halal certification applicants and employees.
Policy Statement
Halal Food Safety UK is committed to fairness, impartiality, and equal treatment. We do not discriminate either directly or indirectly on any unlawful grounds. Our rules and procedures are designed to be inclusive and free from bias.
For Clients
We do not discriminate against any client based on:
All clients are treated equally in the halal certification process. We do not impose unfair financial or administrative burdens. Halal certification is granted based solely on compliance with halal standards.
For Employees
We do not tolerate discrimination in any aspect of employment, including recruitment, based on:
All staff are treated with respect and fairness. Any employee who experiences or witnesses discriminatory behaviour must report it to the Managing Director immediately.
We may, however, refuse or terminate a halal certification application or contract if there are valid reasons such as:
All evaluations, audits, decisions, and monitoring activities are based strictly on halal certification criteria.
Any person found to be engaging in discrimination will be formally warned, and a record of the incident and the action taken will be kept by the Management Representative.
