Honoured to Speak at the World Halal Forum in Manila
On 14th November 2022, I had the privilege of representing Halal Food Safety UK at the World Halal Forum, hosted at the Conrad Hotel in Manila, Philippines. The event was organised by the Islamic Da’wa Council of the Philippines (IDCP) in celebration of its 41st Founding Anniversary, and it was held alongside the 18th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the World Halal Council (WHC)—a federation that brings together Halal certification bodies from across the globe.
As a Resource Speaker, I was honoured to present on the critical topic: “The Challenges of Food Halal Production.” This presentation addressed key issues faced by the Halal industry today, including maintaining authenticity, navigating international standards, and ensuring transparency for consumers.
The forum brought together more than 450 distinguished delegates, including representatives from embassies, Halal certification bodies, and industries spanning food, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. The atmosphere was one of collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and a shared vision for strengthening global Halal practices.
At the conclusion of my session, I was deeply honoured to receive a Plaque of Appreciation from the IDCP in recognition of the knowledge and expertise shared on this important subject.
This opportunity not only highlighted the importance of international cooperation in Halal certification but also reinforced Halal Food Safety UK’s commitment to advancing the integrity of Halal food production worldwide.
We look forward to continuing our collaborations with global partners to ensure Halal food safety and to promote excellence within the Halal industry.
